A Remarkable Geological Formation
Al Naslaa Rock, located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Tabuk Province, is a geological masterpiece found on Mount Nuslah, southwest of Tayma' Governorate. Rising approximately eight meters in height, this conical sandstone formation is split into two nearly symmetrical halves, appearing as though it was precisely cut by a sharp tool. The rock, locally referred to as "Hasat al Naslaa," is recognized not only for its natural beauty but also for its cultural significance. Interestingly, it shares its name with Antarah Rock, which is linked to the legendary Arab poet Antarah Ibn Shaddad and stands in Qassim Province. The gap's straight and smooth appearance is further thought to be enhanced by thousands of years of wind driven sand abrasion, lending it an almost man-made precision.
