Kelsea Ballerini Apologizes for Cutting Show Short, Postpones Tour Dates Due to Illness

Kelsea Ballerini is expressing her regret after having to end a recent concert early and reschedule several upcoming tour dates due to illness.

In the midst of her Kelsea Ballerini Live Tour, the country star shared a heartfelt message with fans, explaining that she had to cut her Buffalo show short because she wasn’t feeling well.

“Buffalo, I am so, so sorry that I couldn’t finish the show tonight,” she said in a video message. “I’m sicker than I’m trying to be, and I never want to let anyone down.”

The Love Me Like You Mean It singer pushed through the first few songs but ultimately had to stop, saying she never wants to give fans anything less than her best. As she focuses on recovering, she announced that the Buffalo show, along with upcoming stops in Pittsburgh and Toronto, will be postponed and rescheduled.

Vows to Give Fans an Unforgettable Show After Postponing Tour Dates Due to Illness

Despite having to postpone several concerts, Kelsea Ballerini is promising fans an incredible experience when she returns to the stage.

“I will make them the best shows I’ve ever played in my whole life,” she assured. “I will pull out every stop for you and make it so worth it. For now, I’m going to rest and get better so I can truly show up for the rest of this tour.”

She expressed her gratitude for the support, saying, “I hope you understand. Thank you for the grace to be human—I love you.”

Shortly after, she announced the rescheduled dates: Buffalo on April 11, Pittsburgh on April 12, and Toronto on April 13. She also shared a fitting song choice, Doin’ My Best, along with a heartfelt photo of herself in bed, cuddling a pillow featuring her dog’s face. “To the sweet fan who made this pillow tonight, I can’t even tell you how much I needed this and what it means. Thank you. I love and appreciate y’all—see you in a few days,” she wrote.

It seems Ballerini has been pushing through illness for several days. During her Feb. 4 show in Detroit, fans helped her through Penthouse, a moment captured in TikTok videos. She later thanked them for their kindness, writing, “Feeling a bit better today and grateful for the grace to be human I’m feeling from y’all. Sending you the biggest (air) hug and going back to bed now. PS—TAKE YOUR VITAMIN C AND ZINC, Y’ALL. IT’S SICK SEASON.”

Ballerini is set to return to the stage on Feb. 10 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
