It's going to be a week for the ages for WWE fans in Canada and the WWE Universe everywhere. Monday, Sept. 9, will indeed be a can't-miss season premiere for RAW as it emanates from the great city of Calgary, Alberta. WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque has let it be known that the evening promises a very special appearance by Canadian wrestling legend Bret "The Hitman" Hart.

Fittingly enough, he will be appearing in this year's season opener, which also is the first day of WWE on USA week, with RAW, NXT, and SmackDown all scheduled to air on USA Network. Jackie Redmond, RAW's go-to backstage reporter, broke it via social media: "I can officially confirm through very legit sources that this Monday, Canadian legend, Bret 'The Hitman' Hart will be inside the Saddledome in Calgary."

The on-again, off-again tumultuous relationship between Hart and the WWE has been dicey for years due to the infamous Montreal Screwjob at Survivor Series in 1997, involving Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels. Those wounds have healed over time, especially since McMahon's departure from WWE. Hart was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and even reconciled with Michaels during a memorable episode of RAW.

An appearance by Hart in any WWE ring, considering that all details of his appearance have been scanty, is a huge moment for any fan and the wrestling fraternity as a whole. As they say, after all, Bret Hart is "the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be."
