Luka Doncic powered the Dallas Mavericks to a commanding 108-85 win over the Orlando Magic on Sunday, delivering an impressive 32 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists. Doncic's dynamic performance, which he described as "real fun," saw him contribute 14 points in the first quarter alone, helping the Mavericks secure an early 30-22 lead that stretched to 65-40 by halftime.

The 25 year old Slovenian star posted 25 points in the first half, including five three pointers. Reflecting on the game, Doncic said, "We were guarding everybody, defending, rebounding, playing with a lot of pace. So that's fun for me." Dallas sustained its momentum into the second half, extending its lead to 82-52 with just over six minutes remaining in the third quarter. At one point in the fourth, they led by as many as 33 points.

Daniel Gafford contributed a season high 18 points for Dallas, while Kyrie Irving added 17, and rookie Dereck Lively II recorded a double double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

For Orlando, the loss marked their third consecutive defeat. Missing All Star forward Paolo Banchero, sidelined with an abdominal injury for at least four weeks, the Magic struggled offensively, making just eight of their 41 three point attempts.

Elsewhere, the Detroit Pistons rebounded from a 30 point loss to the New York Knicks with a 106-92 victory over the Brooklyn Nets, securing their second win of the season. Cade Cunningham led the Pistons with 19 points, six rebounds, and five assists, while each Detroit starter reached double figures in scoring for the first time this season.

In New Orleans, Jalen Johnson scored 29 points and Trae Young added 23 points, 12 assists, four rebounds, and a steal, propelling the Atlanta Hawks to a 126-111 victory over the Pelicans. Brandon Ingram led the Pelicans with a game high 32 points, though the defeat handed New Orleans their first home loss of the season amidst ongoing injury challenges.
