Dr. Edouard NGIRENTE Prime minister of Rwanda was reappointed by president of republic Paul Kagame


Two days following President Kagame's inauguration, on Tuesday, August 13, Ngirente was reappointed as prime minister. In August of 2017, he was appointed premier for the first time. With graceOn Tuesday, August 13, Edouard Ngerente was reappointed as prime minister of Rwanda.

He expressed gratitude to President Paul Kagame and reiterated his dedication to serving the nation. In a post on X on Wednesday, Ngirente expressed his profound humility and honour at being reappointed as prime minister.I express my gratitude to Your Excellency @PaulKagame for this great honour. I pledge to carry on serving our nation under your direction and look forward to working with you to take Rwanda to even higher heights.


"One day after President Kagame was sworn in for a five-year term on Sunday, Ngirente, 51, who initially took office as prime minister in August 2017, was reappointed.The agricultural economist serves as Rwanda's eleventh prime minister following the country's independence in 1962 and its sixth following the Tutsi Genocide in 1994.


According to the Constitution, President Kagame has 15 days after the Prime Minister's appointment to nominate members of the Cabinet.After conferring with the Prime Minister, the President names Ministers, Ministers of State, and other members of the Cabinet.Ngirente is a person who? In 1973, Ngirente was born in the Northern Province's Gakenke District.Ngirente was employed with the World Bank Group in Washington, DC, prior to his appointment in 2017.Before being elevated to senior adviser in 2017,


he had worked for the World Bank for six years as an advisor to the executive director overseeing twenty African nations.He held significant roles in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning before joining the World Bank.Ngirente graduated with a doctorate in agricultural economics from Belgium's Catholic University of Louvain (UCL).



In addition, he has two postgraduate degrees from UCL in agriculture economics and Facultés Universitaires Saint-Louis of Brussels in financial risk management. At the National University of Rwanda (now the University of Rwanda), where he eventually joined the faculty, he finished his undergraduate studies.
