Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is poised to return to politics

An exclusive N12 investigation published on Saturday night has indicated that former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is making preparations to resume his involvement in the political arena. Although there is currently no scheduled election date, Bennett's unnamed political party has initiated contact with past followers and prominent individuals from his other political pursuits.

 Resurgence Initiatives and Survey Findings

As reported by N12, Bennett's team has reached out to more than a hundred former colleagues and fans to evaluate their level of support for his prospective future return. This decision follows recent opinion surveys indicating that Bennett is emerging as a prominent contender for the position of Prime Minister. Bennett had a notable advantage over other contenders in a poll undertaken by N12, outperforming incumbent Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with a suitability rating of 40% compared to Netanyahu's 29%.

In the same poll, Yair Lapid, the leader of the opposition, was also assessed. Netanyahu received a little higher level of appropriateness, 31%, compared to Lapid at 29%. Nevertheless, a significant proportion of participants voiced their discontent with all the existing choices, indicating a preferential inclination towards other solutions.

Analysis of Party Projections and their Potential Impact

Further surveys conducted by N12 and other groups offer valuable information into the potential impact of Bennett's return on the political environment. According to one poll, Bennett's new party has the potential to obtain 20 seats, which is equivalent to the number expected for Netanyahu's Likud party. Meanwhile, it is anticipated that the National Camp would be allocated 13 seats. A bloc which opposes Netanyahu, excluding the Arab parties Ra’am and Hadash Ta’al, is expected to secure a combined total of 61 seats.

A study undertaken by Kan News and the Kantar Institute investigated the possibility of a new right wing political party, headed by Bennett, Avigdor Lieberman, and Gideon Sa'ar. This theoretical political group was forecasted to obtain 27 seats, mostly by undermining the preexisting center and right-wing parties. This advancement has the potential to lower the Religious Zionism party's election threshold, therefore causing a further reconfiguration of power dynamics in Israeli politics.

Analysis of Bennett's Strategic Position in the Political Landscape

The expected comeback of Bennett coincides with a period of political instability and increased examination of current leadership alternatives. His endeavors to reconnect with old partners and establish a pool of supporters indicate a calculated strategy to exploit his previous expertise and take advantage of present political circumstances. Given the ever-changing and dynamic nature of the political environment, Bennett's possible revival could have a substantial influence on the future political structure in Israel.
