The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has approved a major reshuffle of top positions within the Nigerian Army as part of operational efficiency and administrative effectiveness.
The development was made public in a statement signed by the Director of Army Public Relations, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu. According to the statement, the appointments of new Principal Staff Officers, General Officers Commanding, operational commanders, and commandants of training institutions are part of efforts to address emerging security challenges in the country.
Lt. Gen. Oluyede promised that the Nigerian Army is committed to responsive leadership approach, which has the capacity for improvement of national security operations.

Those appointed as PSOs include:
Maj Gen L.A. Fejokwu: From National Defence College to Chief of Administration (Army), Department of Army Administration.
Maj Gen G.U. Chibuisi: From Nigerian Army Resource Centre to Chief of Civil Military Affairs.
Maj Gen A.S. Ndalolo: From Nigerian Army Resource Centre to Chief of Training (Army), Department of Army Training.
Maj Gen O.S. Abai: From Chief of Training to Chief of Transformation and Innovation.
Maj Gen J.H. Abdussalam: From Headquarters 6 Division to Chief of Special Services and Programmes.
Maj Gen E.I. Okoro: From Army Logistics to Military Secretary (Army).
GOCs and Operational Commanders
The reshuffle also extends to the appointment of senior officers as GOCs and commanders of JTFs:
Maj Gen O.T. Olatoye is appointed GOC 82 Division/ Commander JTF South East Operation UDO KA.
Maj Gen E.F. Oyinola is appointed GOC 3 Division/ Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN.
Maj Gen A.G.L. Haruna and Maj Gen I.A. Ajose are confirmed as GOC 7 Division and GOC 8 Division, respectively.
