Legoland Billund has announced an exciting new pirate-themed attraction for 2025.

One of Europe's most popular theme parks, Legoland Billund in Denmark, is getting ready for an exciting reopening in April 2025 with a totally new attraction of pirate theme. This new attraction is designed to spread the fun and thrill of adventure among all ages of visitors, as it promises to take guests into an adventure filled with high-seas excitement, with a giant pirate ship, play zones that continue their actions of interaction, and an upgraded Miniland.

A Grand New Pirate Experience

A gigantic 70-foot-long pirate ship, with a mast standing 37 feet tall, is at the heart of this new attraction. This giant is designed for fun and accessibility so that all visitors, regardless of mobility challenges, can have an all-out experience. Ramps and easy-access play areas on the ship make it one of the most inclusive attractions in the park's history.

There will be ample opportunities for children to unleash their inner pirates with engaging activities such as climbing aboard, navigating obstacles, and firing pretend cannons at their "opponents." The attraction also features slides, ladders, and tunnels, creating an interactive adventure for young visitors.

A key attraction of the visit is Captain Redbeard, one of the most iconic Legoland characters. Children and their families can encounter the legendary pirate, engage in themed challenges, and enjoy storytelling sessions that make the world of seafaring rogues come alive.

King Crab Island: A Haven for Younger Kids

In addition to the pirate ship, Legoland Billund is launching King Crab Island, a play area specifically designed for younger visitors. This section will offer smaller-scale activities so that toddlers and younger children can enjoy pirate-themed fun at their own pace. With interactive elements such as treasure hunts, miniature slides, and creative LEGO-building stations, King Crab Island is sure to be a hit with families.

Updating of Miniland : Celebrating Iconic Danish Symbols

As an extension of expansion, Legoland Billund has also been rejuvenating its version of the signature Miniland-it is a life-sized miniature creation made entirely using LEGO bricks. This year's theme for upgrade is Aarhus, Denmark's second-largest town. The revised Miniland showcases the city's iconic landmarks developed using 2.5 million LEGO bricks and in minute LEGO detail. These miniature marvels will display the architectural beauty and cultural significance of the city, offering visitors a chance to explore Danish heritage in a unique and interactive way.

Commitment to Innovation and Accessibility

Legoland Billund has always been an institution dedicated to creativity and innovation. This new pirate-themed attraction is not an exception, because the park continues pushing the boundary of entertainment while ensuring that people are accessible for all visitors. The incorporation of wheelchair-friendly features and inclusive areas for play is the first step into such amusement parks becoming more enjoyable for all.
