Event Delays and Cancellations

At Roland Garros, outside court play is delayed until 17:15 local time (16:15 BST), with several matches cancelled, affecting Team GB's Cameron Norrie, Jack Draper, Dan Evans, and Katie Boulter. Despite the heavy rain, Paris 2024 organizers remain optimistic about the triathlon events scheduled for Tuesday. However, a training session on Sunday might be cancelled due to concerns about the Seine's water quality, with a decision expected early Sunday morning.

Athlete Safety and Weather Forecasts

The women's cycling time trial saw slippery conditions, causing several riders, including US world champion Chloe Dygert, to slide off their bikes. Dygert finished third, behind Britain's Anna Henderson and Australia's gold medalist Grace Brown. Despite the initial disruptions, the forecast for the coming days promises plenty of sunshine and warm weather, providing hope for smoother proceedings as the Games continue.
