Ennea Capital Partners, Falkensteiner Ventures, Trips Community, Chain4Travel, and other key players in the travel industry have launched Tectris, a program designed to support startups developing blockchain, cryptocurrency, and AI technologies to transform the travel sector. This initiative, revealed to Finbold on June 10, aims to advance the industry through innovations like tokenization, decentralized ownership, and automated trust protocols.
Tectris, a remote program with a registration deadline of July 31, 2024, will hold semi finals in Umbria, Italy, during the Web3 in Travel Conference on September 3to4, 2024, with finals slated for Q4 2024 in Vienna, Austria.
From June to November 2024, Tectris will select ten promising Web3 travel startups, offering a strong foundation for growth. The program will invest in both open protocols vital for Web3 travel infrastructure and for profit startups demonstrating successful Web3 applications.
Luca De Giglio, co founder of Tectris, highlighted the initiative's dynamic support system, transforming into an open space incubator through their Discord channel. Participants can expect up to €250,000 in funding, coaching, industry expertise, and partnership opportunities with established travel and hospitality firms.
The program invites applications from teams and solo founders at the concept or pre seed stage within the Web3 and blockchain sectors, specifically targeting travel, hospitality, and leisure. This initiative marks a significant step towards integrating Web3 technologies in the travel industry, promising to reshape travel experiences.
