Roman Reigns' WWE SmackDown return seems to have been confirmed, just days after he was taken off screens due to his sudden disappearance. He made a much-waited return to SummerSlam 2024 and helped Cody Rhodes in defeating Solo Sikoa for the Championship after his hiatus from WWE following WrestleMania 40. Days after his return to action, Roman Reigns was taken out of commission following the vicious attack at the hands of Jacob Fatu.

The absence of Reigns from in-ring action saw Solo Sikoa rise to take over as the new Tribal Chief. Initial reports indeed said that Reigns could be out of action for an indefinite period, but the latest developments with respect to his return are, as a matter of fact, quite contrary.

SmackDown is scheduled to go on air its final episode on the Fox Network before it makes its switch to USA Network on September 13, 2024. If a possible spoiler, USA Network's social media has teased the return of Reigns by fronting him in promotions for the premiere episode. A promotional image featuring him with Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, and Bayley seems to hint at his presence on the forthcoming show.

While WWE is yet to confirm the news, the teases strongly indicate that Reigns will be back on SmackDown any time soon.

Meanwhile, Reigns' advocate Paul Heyman recently brought into light his superstar's undisputed power during the Bloomberg Power Players New York: Afternoon Session. Heyman mentioned that even though Reigns remains absent from action, his social media remains very active, which adds more fuel to his undisputed reign in WWE.
