Fans are devastated after the sudden passing of Australian YouTube star Alexandra, known as Pretty Pastel Please, at the age of 30. Alexandra, who amassed nearly 700,000 subscribers with her content on fashion, thrift shopping, travel, and product reviews, was announced to have passed away through a heartfelt Instagram post.

The tribute read: "We come to you today with a devastating announcement. It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you that Alex, known to many as Pretty Pastel Please, has passed away. Her passing was sudden, unexpected, and devastating to all who knew her. This is a shock to us all, and her family and friends have requested privacy as they navigate their grief."

A memorial for Alexandra will be shared "in due course," as stated in the announcement. Comments on the post revealed that Alexandra had been subjected to relentless speculation and harassment on Reddit forums. Some fans expressed anger towards the trolls, blaming them for contributing to Alexandra’s struggles.

One comment read, “After recently finding a Reddit community devoted to speculating about her personal life and talking absolute trash about her, I’m not at all surprised to be seeing this post.” Another post on her subreddit criticized the trolls, saying, “Are you happy now? She’s dead. Good one, Reddit.”

Alexandra had openly discussed her struggles with harassment and negative online comments. In December 2022, she posted, “I don't handle criticism well. I'm not cut out to handle reading negative things about myself. I can see a thousand positive comments and forget them all the moment someone says they don't like me.”

Less than a year ago, Alexandra confirmed she was going through a divorce, following online rumors. She also spoke about her mental health challenges, including obsessive compulsive disorder, ADHD, anxiety, and PTSD. Her final TikTok post featured a video of her face with a caption expressing her frustration over being misunderstood due to her autism. The announcement of her passing concluded with a message urging those affected by the news to seek support.
