To everyone’s surprise, the Weeknd appeared at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 2, within the following years of boycotting the award show. Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. presented Abel Tsefaye’s outstanding performance for “Cry for Me” on his latest album Hurry Up Tomorrow. Playboy Carti participated with Tsefaye.
Hurry Up Tomorrow is the last chapter in The Weeknd’s Trilogy. This recent album featured three singles: Dancing in the Flames, São Paulo, and Timeless with guest appearances Playboi Carti, Anitta, Lana Del Rey, Justice, Giorgio Moroder, Florence and The Machine, Travis Scott, and Future.
