The time has come that the wrestling fans have been waiting for: TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace will appear and defend her title in an open challenge against WWE talent on September 10 during NXT on the USA Network. This comes part of the recent partnership between TNA and WWE, where Grace has been the face of the partnership.
Grace had taken to Twitter to make the announcement, posting a video where she disclosed she talked to NXT General Manager Ava, and they decided her championship would be on the line next Tuesday. Equally hyped to the announcement of the match between the champion and the challenger was the official WWE NXT Twitter account.
The video, since then, has been most virally circulated through the company's social media platforms-WWE-and also during this week's broadcast of NXT to further hype the match.
Jordynne Grace has been at the forefront of the WWE/TNA collaboration. She made her first appearance in the Royal Rumble earlier this year. She has been competing against many of the NXT stars inside the rings of TNA/WWE, most notably a high-profile challenge for Roxanne Perez's NXT Women's Championship in June at the NXT Battleground premium live event.
With SmackDown returning to the USA Network on September 13, it's a new landscape; Raw and NXT are all on the same network, which further builds anticipation for next week's show of NXT. Next week's episode of NXT will bring fans on the edge of their seats as they see who'll rise up to stop Grace from making history in this title defense.
