Natalie Portman's smallscreen debut to the violent Ancient Roman epic "Those About to Die" and a reboot of the cult 1980s film "Time Bandits," this July's TV lineup offers a range of exciting shows.
1. A Good Girl's Guide to Murder
Emma Myers, known for her role as Enid in Netflix's "Wednesday," stars as a determined student sleuth, Pip Fitz Amobi, in this adaptation of Holly Jackson's YA novel. She seeks the truth behind a murder suicide from five years ago, with Dolly Wells directing.
2. Sunny
Rashida Jones stars and executive produces this series about Suzie Sakamoto, an American in Japan who, after losing her husband and son in a plane crash, is given a robot companion by her husband's tech company. As strange events unfold, Suzie and the robot Sunny investigate the mysterious crash. "Sunny" premieres on July 10 on Apple TV+ internationally.
3. Sausage Party Foodtopia
The animated adult comedy "Sausage Party" returns as a TV series with many original voice actors, including Seth Rogen and Kristen Wiig. The show continues the food items' adventures as they aim to build a utopia. Premiering on July 11 on Prime Video internationally, it promises humor and irreverence.
4. The Emperor of Ocean Park
Forest Whitaker stars in this adaptation of Stephen L Carter's novel, portraying Judge Oliver Garland whose suspicious death leads his children to uncover family secrets. The legal thriller, set in Chicago, debuts on July 14 on MGM+ in the US.
