Over the past few years, WWE has seen many notable rivalries, but one of the most significant on the "NXT" brand was the feud between Carmelo Hayes and Ilja Dragunov. Fans will soon witness the renewal of this rivalry, not on "Raw," "SmackDown," or "NXT," but on "WWE Speed."

This morning, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H announced on X that Hayes and Dragunov will face off on today's episode of "Speed," which airs on X at 12 p.m. EST. Triple H described the match as a revisit to one of "NXT's" fiercest rivalries, highlighting "Speed's" unique rules which will expedite the match.

The show "Speed," launched on X in April, features one match per episode with a three minute time limit, a significant departure from the longer matches in their "NXT" trilogy, none of which were shorter than sixteen minutes. The winner of this bout will likely earn a shot at the Speed Championship, currently held by Andrade.

Both Dragunov and Hayes have been active on their respective brands outside of "Speed." Dragunov is currently in the Intercontinental Championship picture on "Raw," recently wrestling champion Sami Zayn to a no contest. Hayes, on the other hand, represented "SmackDown" in the Men's Money in the Bank match, although he fell short to winner Drew McIntyre.
