Grammy-Award Winning South African Recording Artist, Tyla would return to her native country with her two-city South Africa concert in sponsorship with Vodacom.
Along with South African promoters Anything Goes and Showtime Management for the contribution of KFM 94.5, and 947, the Water songstress will make the fans go mindblowing on her first headline tour in South Africa since the international success.
Tyla is performing two-set shows in South Africa, where it would be headline in Grandwest, Cape Town on December 5, and SunBet Arena, Menlyn on December 6, 2024, respectively. The Ticket Sales were announced on Thursday, October 10, 2024.
From turning her dreams into a reality, Tyla reached the height of international global stardom to represent South Africa. She is well-known for her hit song, “Water”. She continuously promotes her music around the world over the past year.
"I've been traveling the world, experiencing so much along the way. It's been a journey, but now I'm finally coming home. I'm beyond excited to perform for my TYGERS and share this moment with all of you!” says Tyla.
“Water” was Tyla’s highest-charting in her music career on the Billboard Hot 100 where it debuted at number seven. Tyla became the first South African to do so in over five decades. The song also peaked at number one on the Billboard Afrobeats Charts, Hot R&B Songs Chart, and Adult R&B Airplay Charts in the United States.
Tyla’s self-titled debut album was released in March 2024, where it peaked at number one on the Billboard World Albums Chart. “Tyla” received a lot of critical reception for showing her talent in combining all kinds of music genres: amapiano, afrobeats, R&B, and pop.
Pitchfork reported, “The South African singer’s star-making debut is a lithe, contemporary take on pop-R&B that pulses with the log-drum heartbeat of amapiano.” Rolling Stone also reported, “Tyla’s debut album proves she’s the perfect ambassador.”
Tyla continues to rise into international stardom. She participated in several festival events and connected to her growing fans especially across North America and Europe such as an appearance at Louis Vuitton’s pre-Olympics party in Paris, France, and Lollapalooza in Chicago, Illinois, United States.
