In just six weeks, WWE is making a massive move, bringing all the action from Royal Rumble to WrestleMania and beyond to Netflix as part of a $5 billion deal. For over a decade, fans in the UK have relied on WWE Network as a hub for historic events, documentaries, and hidden gems.
While fans in the US experienced a shift when Peacock acquired the streaming rights, international audiences continued enjoying uninterrupted access. However, starting January 1, 2025, WWE Network will no longer be available in many regions, signaling what fans are calling the ‘end of an era.’
The transition will see WWE programming officially move to Netflix as its new global home. An email from WWE confirmed that many iconic moments, historic PLEs, and select shows will be exclusively available on Netflix starting January 1.
This marks a major shift for fans worldwide, as the platform becomes the central hub for WWE content. The move also ties into the much anticipated January 6 episode of "Monday Night Raw," which kicks off WWE’s new era on Netflix.
The January 6 episode, set to air from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, promises to be a blockbuster event. WWE’s chief content officer, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, has already teased exciting plans.
Notably, Travis Scott will be present at the special show, with his new music debuting as the revamped theme for "Monday Night Raw." This collaboration adds a fresh touch to the brand as it enters this historic transition.
Fans can also look forward to appearances by some of WWE’s biggest stars, including Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Bianca Belair, and John Cena. Additionally, the event will feature surprise guests to kick off the Netflix era in style. With such a stacked lineup and the backing of a major streaming platform, WWE is poised to reach new heights as it embarks on this groundbreaking partnership.
