Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has officially launched its Trademark Collection brand in South Korea with the opening of La Vie D’or Hotel and Resort, Trademark Collection by Wyndham. This new addition brings Wyndham's portfolio in South Korea to over 30 properties and adds to its nearly 20 Trademark hotels across the Asia Pacific region.
Situated in Hwaseong si, a key tourism and transportation hub, La Vie D’or Hotel and Resort offers a unique blend of comfort and serenity. The resort features a nine hole golf course, fine dining options, and proximity to attractions such as the Yungneung and Geolleung Royal Tombs and Yongjusa Temple. Guests can also easily access Seoul and Suwon by car. Business travelers benefit from the hotel’s conference spaces, WiFi, and its location near major corporate hubs like Samsung Electronics and Hyundai Kia Motors.
Joon Aun OOI, President of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Asia Pacific, highlighted the advantages that Wyndham offers to hotel owners in the region, including global brand recognition, cutting medge technology, and a growing loyalty base. He emphasized that the introduction of the Trademark brand in South Korea provides independent owners with enhanced market opportunities while delivering distinctive experiences for guests exploring the country.
Located just 30 minutes from Seoul in the scenic city of Hwaseong-si, La Vie D’or Hotel and Resort is a tranquil retreat for both business and leisure travelers. Spanning 330,000 square meters, the resort boasts a variety of amenities, including a nine hole golf course, fitness center, saunas, swimming pools, and diverse dining options prepared by skilled local chefs. The surrounding area, Jeongnam-myeon, offers stunning natural landscapes, making it an attractive destination for nature enthusiasts. With 190 elegantly designed rooms and a range of convention facilities, the resort is well-suited for corporate events, MICE and weddings.
Wyndham's expansion with La Vie D’or Hotel and Resort is a strategic response to the growing demand for business and leisure travel in South Korea, particularly as the government focuses on boosting the tourism sector. In 2023, South Korea welcomed approximately 11 million inbound visitors, signaling a strong recovery post pandemic, with the travel and tourism market projected to reach $13.66 billion by 2024.
